Elemental Yoga is based on the five elements of Ayurveda – earth, water, fire, air and ether. This type of yoga is Laura’s own mixture of different elements as asanas, pranayama, qi gong, visualization, sound meditation and essential oils. Building up and working through these five elements offers a holistic experience. This yoga activates and stimulates most of our senses and harmonizes the body and the mind. In addition to the physical asanas and pranayama, we use chakra visualization, the sound of different instruments, and essential oils associated with the five elements. If desired, the class can be focused on one or a few elements only. The session ends with a live sound bath, for a better integration and rest after the class.
Longer courses can also be offered, as for example the 5-week course, with one element for each week, where the participants will also get Ayurvedic diet recommendations, as well as aromatherapy tips. This tool can be offered both individually and for groups.
The guided visualization session can both be conducted intuitively, or based on a predetermined theme, depending on the participants. Generally, the session leads the participants through an inner journey, using visualizations from nature, encounters with the five elements, body scanning and mind focus directing. The session is supported by live music and aromatherapy. This session includes both an opening and a closing consultation for better aim setting and integration, if desired. This tool can be offered both individually and for groups.
